Troubleshooting Section
Valve Seats
Check the valve seats for signs of wear. If there is
too much wear, install new valve seats. Adjust the
valve lash.

Vibration damper
Check the vibration damper for damage. Tighten
the bolts. Check the vibration damper bolt holes for
damage and/o
rwear.
Loose engine supports
Run the engine. Check the engine for the following
problems: loose mounts, broken mounts, loose
brackets, a
nd broken brackets. Tighten all mounting
bolts.
Fan blade
Check the fan blade for damage. Ensure that the fan
blade is bal
anced.
Misfiring cylinder
Check for a misfiring cylinder. Perform the Cylinder
Cutout Test. Refer to the diagnostic functional test

Alignment and balance
Check alignment and the balance. If the symptom
remains refer to the diagnostic procedure
